This event recognizes accepted students who have earned a Founders, President’s, or Dean’s Scholarship, or the Martin Luther Award. It serves as an opportunity for students to delve deeper into their academic interests through interactive, faculty-led seminars. Another aspect of the day includes hearing from current students who have studied abroad, conducted research, and/or participated in our Scholars Program. The day will also feature music ensemble performances and a recognition lunch, where prospective families can engage with faculty and current students. While students are in their academic seminars, their guests will have the opportunity to attend a variety of alternative sessions.

Scholar Recognition Day Schedule

8:45 a.m.	Check-in and refreshments
9:15 a.m.	Opening session
10:00 a.m.	Academic seminars for students, and alternative activities for parents
12:00 p.m.	Scholars program, research, study abroad, and internships student panel
12:40 p.m.	Recognition lunch with Luther faculty, staff, and students
Post-lunch (optional)	Campus and/or first-year residence hall tours, music scholarship auditions, and coach meetings.

If you plan to arrive during the day on Friday, you are welcome to attend a class, music rehearsal, or athletic practice. Music auditions, appointments with faculty members, or meetings with admissions counselors can also be arranged. To schedule activities on Friday, March 2 please click here.
