Christmas at Luther Music Showcase Day

Luther College invites you and your family to the 43rd annual Christmas at Luther performance and visit event.

The schedule is flexible - you can arrive in the morning or afternoon, or in time for dinner and the concert. And with many activities to choose throughout the day, you can tailor your experience to get the most out of your time on campus.

MORNING ACTIVITIES (9:30 a.m. arrival)

• Talent scholarship auditions - music, theater, and dance*
• Live music from Luther ensembles
• Conversations with Luther music faculty and students
• Campus tour
• Complimentary lunch

*Auditions - 2025 Applicants Only
Complete a Luther College application for admission and the Music Scholarship Application as soon as possible. Your audition will be scheduled once your application file is complete.

AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES (1 p.m. arrival)

• Performance preview of Christmas at Luther
• Session choices including a jazz rehearsal, symphonic band rehearsal, and a study away info session.

EVENING ACTIVITIES (3 p.m. arrival)

• Christmas at Luther: Behind the Scenes
• Scholarship and financial aid info session
• Complimentary dinner and tickets to the performance for you and up to two guests

9:30 a.m. Morning arrival check-in (Jenson-Noble Hall of Music)

• 9:45 a.m. Audition warm-ups begin (for students with auditions).
• 10 a.m. Auditions begin (for students with auditions). 
• 11 a.m. Lunch. The Cafeteria will be open through 1 p.m. to ensure auditioning musicians have the opportunity to eat lunch.
• 12 p.m. Campus tours begin

1 p.m. Afternoon arrival check-in (Jenson-Noble Hall of Music)
Complimentary lunch passes will be available for those who arrive by noon.

• 1:15 p.m. Welcome and performance preview, led by music faculty
• 2:30 p.m. Afternoon session 1 (as selected during registration)
  • Music tour and study away opportunities
  • Jazz rehearsal
  • Symphonic band rehearsal

3 p.m. Evening arrival check-in (Center for Faith and Life)

• 3:15 p.m. Afternoon session 2
  • Students: Behind the Scenes at Christmas at Luther

• 5:30 p.m. Performance seating
• 5:45 p.m. Christmas at Luther
