Admitted Student Visit Day

Monday, April 14, 2014UTC -05:00

Luther College, Dahl Centennial Union
700 College Dr
Decorah, IA 52101
United States

This unique visit event is specifically designed to help high school seniors take one more look at Luther. Activities offered highlight on- and off-campus opportunities, student life, co-curricular events, and quite simply, life at Luther College. You have the option of arriving on Sunday afternoon (without overnight accommodations) or on Monday morning.

On-campus housing for students is no longer available on Sunday evening.

Sunday afternoon activities will include hiking, bike riding, ballroom dance or photography lessons, team-building experiences on our high-ropes course or bus and van trips to favorite local destinations. You are still welcome to participate in Sunday afternoon activities, eat dinner with a current student, but then stay in a hotel with your parents. While visiting students share the evening meal with current students in the cafeteria, parents are invited to a dinner in Peace Dining Room.

Note about the bike ride: This is a "short" five-mile ride that will include a portion of Decorah's Trout Run Trail and parts of Decorah. For students planning to take part in the biking experiences, we encourage you to bring your own bike. If you are unable to transport your bicycle, there will be a rental option at Decorah Bicycles located near Luther's campus.

Monday morning activities will feature class visits, conversations with coaches, and informational sessions.

Students and parents will be able to share some activities, but a number of separate and unique options have been created for each group. In addition to what you see offered, parents are able to schedule appointments with a financial aid counselor by calling (between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.) 1-800-458-8437 ext.1018.
