This event recognizes our highest-achieving admitted students through unique programming focused on interaction with faculty and current students. Students who have earned a Founders, President’s, or Dean’s Scholarship, or the Martin Luther Award are invited to attend. We respectfully ask you and your guests to dress business casual.

While students are in their academic seminars, parents/guests will have the opportunity to attend a variety of alternative sessions.

Please note: Should this event need to be moved to a virtual format due to COVID-19 concerns, this will be communicated as soon as possible.

Scholar Recognition Day Schedule

8:45 - 9:15 a.m.	Event check-in and refreshments
9:15 a.m.	Opening session
10:00 a.m. and 11 a.m.	Academic seminars for students and alternative activities for parents
12:00 p.m.	Research, study away and internships student panel with faculty moderator
12:30 p.m.	Recognition lunch
Post-lunch (optional)	Campus and/or first-year residence hall tours, talent scholarship auditions and athletic coach meetings.

If you would like to arrive during the day on Friday, we can arrange for you to meet with a faculty member or coach, audition for a music scholarship, and/or meet with an admissions counselor. Band, orchestra, and select choir rehearsals are also available. Please note, you will need to make your own lodging accommodations for the event.
